Dino
At the time of writing - March 14, 2004, Dino is five weeks old and has not yet arrived at Bournemouth Wrenwood but will come here in two weeks when he is eight weeks old. Dino is a White West Highland Terrier, closely related to the Cairn Terrier, Mickey, who died at the age of 16 two years ago. We are hoping that Dino won't be too boisterous for Midge who has been with us since 1991 and is now a grand old lady
More Pictures of Dino!
Dino is now twelve weeks old and is running all over the garden! His favourite toy is neither the coloured ball nor the elastic pulley that we bought for him, but a battered old pot that he will not part with! He growls furiously like a typical "Westie" if we try to take it away from him and now understands the commands "fetch toy" and "stay" and certainly knows the cat's name, "midge" who, although not scared of him persistently runs away from his rapid advances.
Midge
Midge is a tortoiseshell cat and came to us at Manor House Farm (our previous hotel in Somerset) when she was about two months old from an animal retreat. It took a long time for her to loose her fear of humans as she had been obviously ill-treated. She has now adapted well to town living and has several best enemies and best friends amongst the local cat population. You will often see her playing in the Hotel garden. She takes the upper hand with Dino, quite often giving him a heavy handed swipe
